Joyce Zhang & Aditi Amin Dr. Joyce Zhang is an internal and occupational medicine physician with an MPH in Occupational and Environmental Health from the University of Toronto. She practices internal medicine and consults in occupational medicine with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board and other public and private sector employers. She also serves on the boards of the Occupational Medicine Specialists of Canada and the Ontario Medical Association’s Occupational and Environmental Medicine Section. Fitness to Work in People with Painful Conditions
Sebastian Straube Sebastian Straube holds degrees in Medicine and Physiological Sciences from the University of Oxford where he also did his DPhil (PhD). After clinical work and research at the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals, he joined the University Medical Center Göttingen (Germany). There he completed his Habilitation (German postdoctoral qualification) and his postgraduate medical training in Occupational Medicine. Dr. Straube took up his current post in the Division of Preventive Medicine of the University of Alberta's Department of Medicine in 2014. He was appointed as Division Director for Preventive Medicine in 2016 and promoted to Full Professor in 2019. Dr. Straube has also been an Adjunct Professor at the University of Alberta's School of Public Health since 2015. He is the Director of the Foundation Course in Occupational Medicine, which teaches Occupational Medicine to physicians in Canada and in the Middle East. Dr. Straube's research program is focused on information synthesis (systematic reviews, meta-analyses) in Occupational Medicine and beyond. |

Jennifer Melamed Dr. Jennifer Melamed is an addiction physician, certified medicolegal evaluator and a certified Medical Review Officer (MRO). Dr. Melamed is a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (FASAM), a Fellow of the International Academy of Independent Medical Evaluators and a Fellow and Diplomate of the American Board of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Melamed is co-founder of Precision Medical Monitoring with Dr. Maire Durnin-Goodman. Precision Medical Monitoring was established in 2016 to provide biological monitoring services and comprehensive evaluations for individuals with substance use disorders who work in safety sensitive occupations. |
